Job Description Engineer IC Design Engineering – DFT team

Broadcom is currently seeking an engineer to join our DFT/Test team. The candidate will have
the opportunity to own DFT strategy, implementation and verification.

Objectives and Tasks

The following objectives represent the range of tasks that may be encountered.
• Define and implement DFT strategy for new products.
• Verification of test features i.e. Scan, mbist, lbist, LogicVision this will involve implemention of the testbench components including drivers, monitors, checkers as appropriate. The testbench typically has C++ and verilog parts.
• Generate ATPG/functional patterns and re-simulate and support debug on ATE.

Academic Qualifications Required

The candidate will have a BSc(Hons) in electronics or computing.
Skills and Experience
1.1. Three or more years experience in a Design For Test role.
1.2. Experience of DFT techniques and tools ie SCAN, Lbist, Mbist, Fastscan, Tetramax etc.
1.3. Experience of RTL design, rtl & gate level simulations and debug using Verilog and C/C++.
1.4. Knowledge of Windows, UNIX and scripting language PERL.
1.5. Good communication skills and able to work well in a team.
1.6. Self motivated and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
1.7. Well developed logical and analytical skills.
1.8. The ability to write technical documentation.
