In this position you will be part of a team validating / verifying System on a Chip (SoC) ASIC’s digital design for advanced wireless/baseband communications products.
Typical designs will include multiple ARM processors, Multimedia and DSP processors, Memory, FLASH and various peripherals including USB, Camera and Display controllers.
You will work closely with ASIC design team on test and validation plans to plan and implement firmware modules for a full validation of functional blocks, specifications, and test bench designs.
You will also work closely with various teams for validation of the entire product or system including performance and use case scenarios .
You will have a hands-on role in product integration and debugging utilizing various lab bench equipments and tools.
You will develop low level firmware for Broadcom’s RTOS and Linux based SoC validation environments
You will debug and analysis of complex issues at the hardware / software interface layer
Job Requirements Typically requires a BS degree and 12 years of experience or an MS degree and 9 years of experience or a PhD and 6 years of experience .

Proficiency in C/C++ embedded software development
Solid hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, embedded firmware debugging tools, etc
Experience with ASIC FPGA prototyping tools, ARM Architecture and ARM assembly language is a plus
Linux kernel and Board Support Package (BSP) development experience is a plus
Knowledge of mobile communications test equipment is desired

Job Description The primary responsibilities for this position include the design, integration, and debugging of DSP based audio processing software for cellular handsets.  This involves: noise suppression (single, dual, and multi-microphone), echo cancellation and non-linear processing, audio filtering, bandwidth expansion, dynamic range control, active earpiece noise cancelation, speech intelligibility enhancements, etc. The successful candidate will work in all phases of product development including:

* Design algorithms/functional specification of various modules.
* Implement algorithms on MATLAB and C-based simulation platforms to evaluate performance.
* Integrate and debug modules on development systems and target hardware.
* Document designs in a detailed and readable manner.
* Provide customer support and field debugging as required.
Job Requirements Typically requires a BSEE and 12 years of experience, an MSEE and 9 years of experience or a Ph.D and 6 years of experience.

Strong firmware development and debugging skills are mandatory.
Significant hands on experience in DSP Firmware development required; Ceva DSP Exp. preferred.
