Applications engineers – Image Tuning

A new project is about to commence, working with one of our key customers, operating in the design and manufacture of next generation mobile phones. We are recruiting a new team which will work closely with Broadcom’s customers, supporting the integration of Broadcom Imaging solution in cellular/embedded products

The successful candidate will be a member of the camera module image tuning team which includes the tuning of CCM, AE/AWB/AF, noise reduction, camera calibration and defect correction algorithms.
This will often involve working with early prototypes of imaging sub systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Adapt existing IPs to new products and platforms
2. Evaluate imaging aspects of various ISP, sensor solutions and camera modules
3. Work closely with the customer test team on implementation of imaging analysis algorithms into production test software.
Job Requirements 1. The successful candidate will have a MS degree in Imaging Science or BSEE and 4 years of hands-on experience in imaging and camera modules.
2. C and assembler development experiences on an embedded system
3. Experience of camera driver and/or control algorithm
4. Experience in calibration of digital cameras/camera modules.
5. Knowledge of image processing and optimization techniques for color interpolation, sharpening, color correction, noise reduction, and focus detection is highly desirable.
6. In-depth knowledge of image pipeline in still and video cameras
7. Cooperative attitude, must work well in a team
8. Customer oriented attitude. Quickly understand the customer’s requirements
9. Experience in Image Quality

• Native application development using ATL/WTL, boost, STL libraries
• Some experience using .Net framework desirable
