The job involves developing and implementing operating methods and procedures to thoroughly tests WLAN products. The candidate will work closely with hardware and software engineering teams as well external testing agencies and labs to achieve product objectives.\n\nThe WLAN products are driven by software components which include complex drivers and firmware that support an array of IEEE 802.11a/b/g and 802.11n wireless devices.\n\nYou will work on one or more projects in the testing department and have the following responsibilities:\na) Develop automated test scripts for various test suites using proven automation framework.\nb) Devise test plans for different platforms and features.\nd) Initiate and develop proactive methods to detect product weaknesses in a timely manner.\ne) Conduct tests as required with internal (checked) and external (free) builds, analyze and report results, and document and track issues in the bug tracking database.\nf) Provide product feedback to engineering teams, including program managers and actively engage in solutions.\nJob Requirements You must demonstrate hands-on testing knowledge of white box and black box testing techniques. The ideal candidate must have sufficient software skills to implement test harnesses and test automation, including fluency in scripting languages such as TCL/Expect, Python or Perl.\n\n- Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages as well as GUI automation tools such as Silk Test, Win Runner, selenium etc., will be very helpful.\n- Prefer individuals who have developed and implemented test plans for Windows, Linux, MacOS and other embedded operating platforms.\n- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP.\n- Good understanding of 802.11 a/b/g/n\n- Knowledge of certification processes such as Microsoft WHQL, Wi-Fi, Cisco CCX is a plus.\n\nThe job requires excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills. The chosen candidate will be required to work with minimal supervision and have the ability to handle multiple projects in parallel.
