Job Description:
o Design, bring-up/debug and characterize multi-mode multi-band reference designs using Broadcom multi-mode chips for handsets, tablets, mobile hotspots, USB dongles...
o Write engineering documents (RF modules specifications, HW test reports & application notes).
o Review customer designs (schematic, layout) & provide support to various system-level inquiries.
o Interface with FW & Baseband engineers for system integration & occasionally with Marketing/FAE for advanced customer support.
Job Requirements Required Education + Experience
o M.S in Electrical Engineering + 3 years relevant experience
o B.S in Electrical Engineering + 6 years relevant experience

Required Experience, Skills & Training:
o Hands-on experience with RF board development in networking/wireless communications industries.
o Extensive experience bringing up RF boards, design verification testing and debugging issues.
o Solid understanding of RF design considerations and impact on system performance (EMI issues, Calibration aspects, Tx & Rx cascade trade-offs, Impedance matching).
o Pro-active, detail-oriented and effective working in a multi-task environment.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Design experience with baseband processor, switching/non-switching power circuits.
o Proficient with ORCAD Schematic Capture & Allegro layout design tools.
o Proficient with use of RF system test equipment (VNA, VSG, VSA, Digital Scope).

Desired Experience, Skills & Training:
o Knowledge of 2G/3G/4G wireless standards.
o Wi-Fi, WiMAX, 2G/3G design experience.
o Knowledge of signal integrity issues of high speed digital/mixed signal circuits.
