Job Description Broadcom is developing solutions supporting the next generation of high-speed mobile technologies with a product
roadmap that includes base-band processors for WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple-Access), HSDPA (High
Speed Downlink Packet Access), HSUPA (High Speed Uplink Packet Access) and LTE(Long Term Evolution), as well as
a portfolio of mobile multimedia co-processors.
In this position you will:
--Participate in the continuous development and improvement of cellular protocol stack, including implementing new
relevant 3GPP features/CRs as well as customer specific requirements.
--Actively participate in modem performance enhancements, memory and MIPS optimization.
--Participate in system integration, verification, debugging and test of new generation of mobile devices based on GSM,
GPRS, EGPRS, UMTS, LTE standards.
--Support interoperability (IOT) and live network testing. It will require performing analysis of the problem scenarios
and generating efficient solutions. In addition, it may also require travel to the IOT lab or location of live network testing.
--Participate in conformance testing of mobile platform using in-house test equipment and at official test houses.
Job Requirements - Typically requires a BS degree and 6+ years of experience or an MS degree and 3+
years of experience or a new grad PhD
- Strong understanding of WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA is essential, and HSPA+ is a plus.
- Knowledge of ARM microprocessor and RTOS is a plus. Nucleus experience preferred.
- Past experience with software development for embedded systems and protocol stack is
required.
- Knowledge of mobile communications test equipment is desired.
