Want to be part of the next big wave, where every device in the home can talk to each other?

Responsibilities consist of two key tasks (1) define/validate RF front-end modules (FEM) for WLAN products and (2) bring up reference designs for high volume wireless networking products.

1. Define technical specs and validate highly integrated RF front-end modules for WLAN products
a. Collaborate with various internal groups such as system architecture group, radio group and marketing group for next generation products.
b. Interface with external vendors by attending weekly meetings, following up and updating vendor requirements.
c. Perform RF measurements to characterize highly integrated FEMs and generate reports.
2. Bring up the reference platforms for high volume wireless networking products.
a. Conduct extensive laboratory testing, characterize, and trouble-shoot prototype boards to solve challenging RF issues interfacing across multiple disciplines (e.g. system, radio, and board engineers to optimize RF performance).
b. Supervise PCB layout engineers on critical RF layouts and lab technicians on rework.

Job Requirements
BSEE or equivalent required; MSEE preferred and 5 plus years of RF components or systems design/ development experience. New Ph. D with sufficient experience in relevant course work and projects will be considered.
The following skills/experience are required:
o Solid understanding of RF front-end module (FEM) and RF system architecture, components, and specifications.
o Hands-on experience with high frequency measurement equipment (including, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, vector signal generator/analyzer, power meter).
o Solid board level debugging skills and ability to oversee the PCB layout process.
The following skills/experience are strongly desired:
o Strong understanding of individual RF component performance as well as its interaction at system level.
o Working knowledge on transmission line theory, RF transmitter and receiver components, and EM knowledge.
o 2.5D and 3D EM simulation (ADS, HFSS, etc) experience and regulatory knowledge preferred. Previous RFIC and RF FEM development and bring up experience are also a plus.
o Working knowledge of wireless LAN protocols.
