Job Posting Title Sr Manager, Software Engineering - Development

Job Description In this role, the candidate will:
- Manage a local team of 5-10 engineers focusing on embedded firmware development
- Work with Program Management, and the Applications team in delivering driver and firmware releases. The job involves scoping and planning the releases based on the requirements, new chips getting ready, new features being delivered and bandwidth availability of the development team.
- Manage feature development and associated technical issues through the release cycle.
- Provide technical guidance to the bug review board in the final stages of the release cycle
- Work on evaluating issues as they unfold, prioritizing them, and managing the resources to address them
- Provide technical guidance to the direct team of engineers as well as engineers in other groups and locations assisting in releases
- Generate builds and manage branches for the release
- Work closely with program management to generate release notes
Job Requirements - A Masters degree and 6 years of experience or a Bachelors with 8 years experience is required.
- Experience in managing technical teams and experience in working with marketing teams. Experience in working with remote teams is also required
- Prior knowledge and experience in networking and developing 802.11 wireless products required
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality/error free deliverables
- Excellent organizational skills, self-driven, and eager to learn
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing) and good teamwork capabilities
