Job Description This person will develop, execute, and debug tests on Broadcom's world class lineup WiFi combo modules targeted at the cellular and tablet markets. Taking responsibility for one or more chips or test areas you will lead the project initial request through execution, debug, analysis and reporting.

The tests will focus on the RF and physical layers including such typical parameters as EVM, and sensitivity and be run on a variety of test equipment. We work very closely with the systems team on site to get involved early in the product bring up stages and help drive them from bringup through to production, and ultimately you will see these products shipping in high volume in your favorite consumer electronics devices.

This person will interact with the design team, marketing and others to create test plans, schedule test stations, and drive defects to zero. As such a proactive person with strong communications skills is desired.
Job Requirements To succeed in this role the candidate should have a BSEE with 7-10 years experience, or MSEE with 5 years experience. This must include at least three years of wireless test experience at the PHY or MAC level. This experience must include familiarity with wireless communication system transmit and receive parameters. You should be able to explain at the block level the operation of a wireless tx and rx chain, including the causes of common wireless radio impairments.

Engineering focused programming experience is highly desirable so you can be effective in debugging test issues and contribute to our process efficiency, preferably with Python and other linux shell scripts.

It is expected that this person will be able to understand higher level plans and develop goals/milestones to achieve these while working independently and clearly documenting the work completed. This person will interact with many other teams as we work to drive defects to zero. As such a proactive person with strong communications skills is desired.
